Juan Pachon

VP, Communications

Juan Pachon is the Vice President of Communications at FWD.us. He is a skilled communicator and media strategist that most recently served as Communications Director for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Democrats. As a senior advisor to the Committee Chairman, his role involved serving in the leadership team as chief spokesperson and counselor for Committee communications and public affairs. 

Juan spent over a decade working on Capitol Hill advising multiple Senators on issues pertaining to the Latino and immigrant communities in the United States and throughout the Western Hemisphere. He managed high-stakes media engagement and led communications strategy for high-profile legislative efforts ranging from comprehensive immigration reform to Venezuela sanctions and the protection of human rights.  He has a track record of generating favorable media coverage in major print and cable news outlets, and has helped author Op-Eds in the New York Times, Washington Post, Reforma, USA Today, and other leading national and international publications. Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Juan is a political asylee. He currently resides in D.C. with his partner and two children.
