Chris Coger

Chris Coger is the Vice President; Chief Digital Officer at FWD.us. Chris leads FWD.us’s Digital Department which comprises Digital Campaigns & Social Media, Digital Project Management, Creative & Multimedia, Tech & Engineering, and IT & Cybersecurity in support of both FWD.us’s criminal justice and immigration policy work.

Prior to joining FWD.us, Chris founded Politech, which built software for political organizations, non profits, and private sector clients. Under Chris’s leadership, Politech helped power electoral wins in 2016 with the DCCC, and with the Clinton Presidential campaign and state coordinated campaigns in Colorado, Nevada, and Virginia. Politech successfully supported the advocacy and organizing efforts of national organizations including Everytown for Gun Safety, and state organizations including the Ohio Organizing Collaborative. Chris also served as the Nevada State Data Director for President Obama’s re-election campaign. Chris started his career in data, analytics, and product at Catalist managing the full stack of customer facing tools including SaaS data applications, Matching and ETL tools, and backend APIs.

Chris graduated from American University with a B.A. in Political Science. Chris excels in building technology using React, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, WordPress, and other modern web technologies and frameworks. Chris lives in the Bay Area with his wife, Smita and his son, Jaxson.
