FWD.us Statement on the Ninth Circuit Court’s Ruling on DACA Litigation

WASHINGTON, DC – FWD.us President Todd Schulte issued the following statement today after the Ninth Circuit Court upheld a January 2018 order from a federal judge in California that allows renewals to continue for certain DACA recipients:

Today’s decision from the Ninth Circuit Court reaffirms what multiple courts have repeatedly said: that the way the Trump Administration terminated the DACA program was illegal. The Trump Administration’s decision to zealously pursue the end of DACA is deeply disturbing and reiterates the urgency that Congress must pass – and the President must sign – legislation to protect Dreamers permanently.”

Background: DACA Renewals
United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is still accepting and processing renewals for current DACA recipients whose protections expire in more than 150 days. Dreamers who are eligible to submit DACA renewal applications should consider doing so and consult with an attorney immediately.
