“It is great, welcome, and overdue news that the government is finally re-opening and that federal workers will be getting paid.

“With the government reopened, and as Congress takes up this next and important conversation on border security, we call on Congress also to urgently address the crisis facing Dreamers and TPS holders, whose lives have been thrown into chaos due to the actions of the Trump Administration. There is massive, bipartisan support for Congress to pass legislation that provides permanent protections to these vulnerable populations. This is a true crisis; there is absolutely no reason for delay.”
