I am just one story and there’s 800,000 like me who have bought homes, bought cars, and are stimulating the economy.

Back when I didn’t have DACA, I remember one time I went to a nonprofit to volunteer. I remember I had to ride my bike there. And I had to not only go in there with a suit but I also had to look presentable. I rode in the hot sun with all the heat in Florida and I rode to the back. I had a towel and my suit in my backpack. I dried off, I put on the suit, and then I had to go back to the front to go in and do my job.

When they announced DACA, and that the program would allow me to work and drive, that was the point that gave me happiness and gave me freedom to be able to do what I really wanted to do. And now that DACA is ending, it’s going to bring me back to that place where I cannot give everything I have to give 100%.

I am just one story and there’s 800,000 like me who have bought homes, bought cars, and are stimulating the economy. If you take us out of this country, there’s going to be a 500 million dollar cut to the economy.

If I am able to achieve what I have now just through DACA giving me the opportunity to work and drive, don’t let me stop. Don’t let the other 800,000 stop.
