For centuries, New York City has greeted millions upon millions of immigrants as they've arrived to America, seeking greater opportunities and filled with hope for a brighter future. There may not be any other city in the world with as strong an immigrant history as The Big Apple. The city’s immigration population continues to increase, with immigrants accounting for over 35% of city residents today. To convey the importance of this and other issues, FWD.us has launched a local chapter program that provides a space for innovators to pool their energy - to innovate advocacy, change the basic terms of public debate on issues, and communicate with elected policy makers. These leaders will serve as the head of these local chapters, and in collaboration with our team, will build an infrastructure of engaged, knowledgeable chapter members from the tech community.
