FWD.us Statement on International Entrepreneur Rule Court Decision

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, a district judge issued a decision regarding a lawsuit,NVCA v. Duke, over the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) decision to delay implementation of the International Entrepreneur Rule (IER). The judge ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, ordering DHS to resume implementation of IER and begin accepting applications from foreign entrepreneurs.

FWD.us President Todd Schulte issued the following statement:

“FWD.us was heartened by the court’s decision to allow the International Entrepreneur Rule (IER) to go into effect. This is good news for job creation and innovation. Allowing highly qualified entrepreneurs to stay in this country to start and grow their companies will add American jobs and bring critical new capital to our economy. Immigration has long been one of our country’s greatest competitive advantages, and as such, we should embrace policies such as IER. FWD.us has worked closely with leaders and entrepreneurs in the tech community on this policy for two years, and we look forward to seeing DHS finally implement the rule.”
