The Time is Now for a Pathway to Citizenship

Breaking News: The U.S. Senate has passed a budget resolution which includes funding for a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS holders, farmworkers, and essential workers.

This is an important step forward and it is important that we say thank you to the Senators who voted to make this possible.

A pathway to citizenship for Dreamers is overwhelmingly popular with a super-majority of Americans, including a majority of Republican voters. The American public has made up its mind and strongly supports getting this done.

Right now, Americans expect Congress to deliver on promises and pass a pathway to citizenship to keep families safe and together, and ensure vital members of our communities and economy are able to fully contribute to the response and recovery from COVID-19.

The weeks ahead are absolutely critical and passing a pathway via budget reconciliation will require 50 votes in the Senate; it is therefore absolutely crucial that every senator hear from us.

This is the year. Please call and thank your Senator for taking a first step on the budget resolution and tell them that we must keep a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS holders, farmworkers and essential workers in the final reconciliation bill.
