The House passed a budget resolution in August, and in September the House Judiciary Committee reported legislation providing a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS holders, farmworkers, and other essential workers.
We will hold Congress and the Biden Administration to their commitments to pass legislative protections for millions of immigrant families. Anything less is an abject moral failure with dire human and political consequences.
Twenty years after the Dream Act was introduced, this is the best chance we have had in years — and are likely to have for a very long time — to fix our broken immigration system. The courts have made clear that DACA is at serious and urgent risk. Congress must get this done now.
