Joe Green, Founder and President
Joe founded FWD.us to organize and engage the tech community on issues of vital importance to America's global competitiveness. Previously, he founded Causes and co-founded NationBuilder to realize his belief that social networks enable community organizing at a previously unknown scale. These two successful companies combine the best of traditional organizing with new technologies, making the tools of democracy more widely available and empowering people to become leaders.
Joe started in local politics by winning election to his local school board while he was still in high school. He went on to work on several other political campaigns at the local, state and national level, including John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. He is a Board Member of the Salesforce Foundation.
Daniel Shih, Organizing Director
Daniel leads the grassroots organizing operation for FWD.us. An experienced community organizer, Daniel worked in six states for the Obama campaign from 2007-2008. Most recently he served in the White House as Domestic Policy Analyst for Vice President Biden. Daniel studied politics at Stanford University and international relations as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University.
Jeremie Vella, Digital Director
Jeremie spearheads FWD.us's online advocacy program. He is responsible for social networking, web production, email marketing and content creation. Most recently he was the digital director for the Obama campaign in Colorado during the 2012 election.
William Leiter, Digital Strategist
William helps develop and implement the FWD.us advocacy strategies on the web and social media. He helps manage the organization's online advertising, email program, and website, and guides our online analytics. He previously worked as a legislative aide in the California State Senate, and as a digital strategist for political campaigns.
Raquel Mata, Organizer
Raquel Mata joins the FWD.us team as the organizing director for the Northwest. Prior to joining FWD.us, Raquel worked in organizational development, securing financial growth and sustainability for various nonprofits. Raquel also carries community organizing experience, serving as a Field Organizer in 2008 with Obama for America. Raquel is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego with degrees in Political Science and Anthropology.
Dan Centinello, Organizer
Dan Centinello organizes Silicon Valley and Southern United States. Previously he worked as Deputy National Political Director for Romney for President.
Nick Coe, Organizer
Nick is the Regional Coordinator Silicon Valley and the Southern United States. He supports the Regional Organizing Director in his work. Before joining FWD, Nick interned in the White House Office of Communications and was a Field Organizer for Organizing for America -- Minnesota.
Kym Bays, Social Media Manager
Kym Bays manages the social media networks for FWD.us. She previously worked for Independent Voter Network and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She went to Temple University.
Emanuel Yekutiel, Special Assistant to the President
Emanuel supports the President in his work to bring America forward. He graduated from Williams College where he was Co-President of the Student Body. He previously worked in the White House Office of Public Engagement and on President Obama’s re-election campaign in New Hampshire.
Amy Koch, Office Manager
