Why do so many people feel disconnected from government, whether local or national? How we can ensure that government represents the people it's supposed to serve? We'll discuss the importance of civic engagement within the tech community and how government can use transparency and new technologies to become more open and responsive to the public.

NGIN invites you to a Lunch and Learn hosted by at NGIN Workplace. is a non-profit tech policy advocacy organization dedicated to mobilizing the skills, passion and connectedness of tech workers to pass legislative reforms in areas such as immigration and education. On Wednesday, January 21st, a representative will be visiting the NGIN office to learn more about the work at NGIN and the companies it supports, discuss the status of immigration reform, and how you can get involved in’ innovative approaches to advocacy.

Immigration affects so many of our co-workers, friends, and broader community members. Come find out what you can do to make a positive impact on the world and our local community. No need to bring your own lunch, will be providing.

This is a great opportunity to talk about important issues facing the tech community. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Please be sure to RSVP so that knows how much lunch to get!
